Details

A collector's piece, this Dunhill Root is ninety year's old and still going strong! Patent era Dunhills are some of the most collectible and well made pipes of the 20th century. A stout pot with a wide chamber, the cross-grain is good looking, and of course fill free. One thing that has always separated Dunhill from the competition is stem quality. Dunhill uses solid, extruded ebonite rods that resist oxidation better than injection molded stems, and feel better on the teeth. As an added treat, this comes with a rare bowling ball brindle stem, which admittedly is a bit thin after nearly a century of use, but is all original. This pipe is in great condition. The chamber walls only show minor wear and there is a ton of bowl thickness left. The pipe has a few handling marks, but who wouldn't after ninety years.
