Dunhill (Amber Root?) (1970s Make) Billiard Estate Pipe
Item # 9999$325.00
Details
Unfortunately the stampings on this Dunhill billiard estate pipe from England are too worn to make out the specific finish and date code, but we're confident that it was made in the late 1970s and was likely stamped as an Amber Root finish. The group 4 size bowl is an educated guess but there is no doubt this is the original fishtail stem. On a positive note, other than being worked too hard on the buffing wheel over the last two generations, this English, straight, and tapered billiard is in outstanding condition. There is a touch of inner rim darkening toward the back of the bowl but the birdseye along the rim and the contrasting straight grain around the bowl are just as impressive today as when it was first smoked. Wide and deep in the chamber for savoring native Latakia laden blends, this light for its size smoker is still a treasure for generations to enjoy.
