David Huber Pipe Sandblast Ivarsson Blowfish

American carver David Huber's influences know no bounds as showcased here in this Sixten Ivarsson styled blowfish with a stylized seam and cat's eye shank for sculpted balance.  The cap of the shank is both beveled and finished smooth with a concave face that oozes and organic delicateness, much like a thin membrane caught in the intake of breathing.  The sandblast finish here is tight, but the detail is impressively distinct and reveals plenty of growth rings wrapped all the way around the stummel.  Unique and masterfully constructed, this blowfish will be a beautiful and practical vessel for many generations to enjoy.
