Charatan Selected Bent with Post and Plateau Estate Pipe with Replacement Stem

Magnificently tall, this Charatan Selected estate pipe has an extremely deep chamber for ridiculously long smoking sessions.  The rim is capped with plateau and the stem has been replaced at some point in its decades long history.  This tapered mouthpiece suits the extreme proportions well and while there is a wide post on the bottom, this English handmade requires a full bowl of tobacco to sit on a flat surface.  There is some darkening along the rim as well as a few minor handling marks and while the stampings aren't as perfectly crisp as when it left the factory, this beautifully grained armchair companion is still in outstanding condition with a wonderfully smooth draw.
