Castello Sea Rock Briar SC 84 Hawkbill Estate Pipe with Repaired Shank

Full disclosure, just in case it was missed in the viewing the pictures, this slim and lightweight Castello Sea Rock Briar hawkbill estate pipe from Italy has suffered and broken shank, at the mortise, in its history.  Usually repairs for that issue involve a metal band to reinforce the mortise wall at the end of the shank.  In this case, a piece from the mortise wall appears to have completely broken off the pipe and was carefully reattached with an epoxy.  The work was extremely well done and the shank is definitely secure, so well in fact that it isn't easily noticeable until pointed out, but it is there.  Otherwise this oval shanked and comfortable clencher is in outstanding condition with a touch of rim darkening and a sweet spot sized chamber, especially suited for Virginia laden blends of any size cut.
