Captain Pete (Peterson) XL80 Bent Partial Carved Bulldog with Brass, Nickel, and P-Lip Estate Pipe

Paying homage to the Irish maker's founder, Charles Peterson, this Captain Pete estate pipe from Peterson is a stocky and thick walled bulldog with an intricately carved finish around the base of the stummel and above the traditional double bead decoration at the widest part of the bowl, smooth and polished.  The trim is a band of nickel sandwiched between brass and the tapered Peterson Lip stem is bent enough to hang low when clenching and offsets the heft of this smoker's muscular heft.  The chamber is almost cylindrical and easily wide enough to make a flavorful choice for any favorite English, Balkan, or even a Lakeland blend.  There are a few very minor handling marks and a touch of inner rim darkening while some of the paint has worn off the P logo on the stem, but this stocky and large bowled bulldog is still in excellent shape with a wonderfully smooth draw.
