C Kent Joyce Pipe Spot Carved Egg with Plateau

While the grain on this unique and wide bowled egg is impressive, C Kent Joyce used a bit of spot carving to cover up the unfortunate minor flaws that showed up at the surface.  No complaints as the results are still compelling as this richly finished briar is well composed in a symphony of shape and proportion.  Stemmed with an ebonite stem of cornflower blue, the colors strike a dynamic balance.  All of that pales in comparison to the perfect draw and very narrow chamber that will bring all the best flavors from the sweeter and narrower cut tobaccos.
