C. Kent Joyce Pipe Bent Partial Rusticated Volcano with Brindle

Curved along its bilateral axis, this handmade from C. Kent Joyce brings a subtle and balanced asymmetry to another unorthodox design from the American pipe maker.  The sculpted saddle on the stem is served with a curve to offset the opposite list in the stummel.  The finish is further enhanced with a carved design so finely done, it looks as if the pipe is slowly rippling if one stares too long.  Wide in the teardrop shank with the smooth and polished portions displaying a dazzling and tight grouping of birdseye on both the top and bottom.  As impressive as design and proportion are in every piece of Mr. Joyce's repertoire it can't be over emphasized how well engineered they are as well.  This bowl coated and American handmade will undoubtedly turn heads from those who are and aren't familiar with cutting edge artisan pipes being made today, though it will disappear in the user's mouth for how well it will smoke.
