Brian Madsen Pipe Dublin with Teardrop Shank

Finished smooth in high contrast, this Danish dublin from Brian Madsen has a dynamic range of color.  As if alight from the inside or just pulsing with electricity throughout the briar, the result is quite stunning.  The teardrop of the shank provides the asymmetric composition a bit of rakish demeanor, as if a cape was swaying in the breeze.  Angel hair grain, and spot on details make for great copy, but what this story is really about is how well Brian's pipes are engineered, from the polished mortise to the perfect draw, all destined to be phenomenal smokers for centuries of treasured use.
