Bond Street (Comoy's) Yale Class of 1937 Liverpool with Silver Estate Pipe
Item # EE217023Sold Out
Details
Likely made in the 1940s-50s, these Yale Class Year pipes were made by Comoy's and stamped with the Bond Street nomenclature as the famous location of Orlik pipes and the name of the famous American pipe blend. Each is embedded with a class year and as rumor has it, the tradition was to smoke your pipe and break it for a graduation ritual. Sleek, smooth, and finished with a dark and deep burgundy, this smart smoker gets all As in the looks department. As it happens, it scores top marks for engineering as well as this long shanked smoker draws like a dream and features a chamber narrow enough to handle a straight Virginia. In outstanding condition though there are a number of handling marks, especially around the rim.
