Bill Walther Pipe Bent Smooth Freehand with Plateaux and Sand Brindle

Bulbous around the plateau laden rim and shaped into a subtle bend, this sand brindle stemmed freehand is exceptional in its finish and color.  So smooth as to look like glass, this beautiful American handmade briar has plenty of straight grain in subtle contrast and a wide enough chamber to enjoy all the wonderful smoky flavors of a straight English or Balkan blend.  The deep red and the sand brindle are pleasantly paired and the flared saddle is offset just enough from the plateau faced shank to balance out the large bowl.  A joy to display, but this smooth from Bill's workbench will be even better once its been lit and its smoking prowess is revealed.
