Ben Wade Hand Model 100 Bent Sandblast Freehand with Plateau and Ebonite Ferrule Estate Pipe

Designated by Ben Wade as one of their prized pieces to be showcased by distributors and representatives all over the pipe buying world to demonstrate the beautiful pipes on offer, this Hand Model 100 estate pipe is showing off a brilliant sandblast highlighting both the straight grain and the growth rings of the briar.  The walls around the conical chamber are particularly thick and the chamber design narrows down to a draft hole dead center at the bottom.  A subtle contrast in the finish gives the impression of age, though this pipe is at least four decades old, and the ebonite ferrule still holds the stem as snug as the day it was made.  There is some rim darkening and the stem's crown logo, while still present, is well worn but this Danish-made freehand has a great deal of capacity and a smooth, supporting draw made even better by a lot of bend and a thin bite for a comfortable clench.
