BB&S Londoner (Barling) 5409 Panel Shank Poker Sitter Estate Pipe

Made in the Barling family's factory, this Londoner poker sitter estate pipe has a wide base on which to sit securely and a panel shank with a saddle to keep the weight to a minimum.  There is some modest darkening along the inner rim and a few fills in the finish, especially on the back of the bowl.  There are also some minor teethmarks along the top of the button and the stem's logo, while legible, is well worn.  Otherwise this cylindrically drilled chambered smoker is still a smooth drawing example of English shape, style, and smoking competence.
