Zehnder Pipes

Yosef Zehnder is rapidly establishing himself as part of a new generation of extremely talented pipe makers. Raised in northwestern Switzerland into a family that knew the value of nature and the arts, Yosef developed a keen eye for natural symmetry and a deep appreciation for the creative spirit of the human mind manifested through all artistic endeavors.

Fortunately for Yosef, and quite unlike many naturally gifted artists, he had a knack for entrepreneurialism as well. In 2012 he invested some of his savings from a side business into pipes and tobacco, and a new passion was born. It was inevitable that the young artist would soon try his hand at pipe making. A more perfect education was hardly imaginable. 

Since 2018, Yosef has been crafting his own pipes. We were immediately struck by the skill evident across all his work. Stems are brightly polished, lines are clean and intentional, and the compositions hang together with near perfect balance and coherence. Yosef's work is traditional in the sense that there is little radical departure from the established canon of modern pipe making, but each pipe carries an ineffable mark of his own.
