With this very dark finish and rich micro blast, this egg inspired, double drilled, oom paul from Thomas James will show increasingly red tones the brighter the light that hits it.  The closer the eyes get to the surface, the more detail reveals itself, and the effect is very impressive.  The sleeve in the mortise of this full bent briar is made of delrin and the tenon is integral to the stem.  That means that the fit is much more secure than a standard pipe and can withstand being taken apart while warm, or even smoking if you prefer.
