Jesse doesn't use this method for finishing pipes very often as it is somewhat labor intensive - but it sure is worth it. After the pipe has been sandblasted there is an additional step that wears the wood just a little and consistently giving a very old and aged look with a good contrast while still being distinctive and detailed. The rim is smooth and the chamber size is considerable for a pipe this light. I suggested he let me break it in...he said no. :(
