Finished smooth and densely grained, this Parker Baron estate pipe has a thick walled bowl courtesy of the apple shape and a sweeping tapered stem. The cross-grain briar leaves a lot of birdseye packed into the sides though there is a fill on the right side of the bowl. The cylindrical chamber is suited for sweeter blends be they aromatic or straight Virginias and is only so deep as to allow for about an hour of smoking. There are some minor handling marks but the stampings are still crisp and aside from the inner rim darkening this classic smoker is in outstanding condition with an impressively smooth and open draw.
