Details
A very dark, carved, and rusticated finish graces this French-made GBD. Note the unusual indentation design on both the top and bottom of the stem, tapered in profile. The rusticated bowl is polished and smooth on the rounded rim and a bowl coating of sodium silicate has been added to the chamber to cover up some slight charring around the inner wall. Otherwise in outstanding condition though there is no rhondelle, this comfortable clencher has a particularly wide open draft well suited for Virginia flakes and pressed tobaccos in the genre.
