Charatan Belvedere Extra Large Billiard Sitter with Silver Estate Pipe

We are absolutely positive the silver band of this Charatan Extra Large billiard estate pipe was added after its original sale once having left the English maker's factory.  And after a great deal of inspection, we are fairly certain it isn't a repair as there is no indication of any cracking or sore spots in the shank or mortise.  After market silver bands are not so uncommon and this large, smooth Belvedere looks pretty good with a band of the precious metal.  In excellent condition, though there are some very minor handling marks and the stem's logo has long since been worn off.
