Todd Harris Pipe Bent Globe with Acrylic

Both elegant and masculine, this bent and smooth beauty from Ohio pipemaker, Todd Harris, conveys a sense of calm reflection as a smoking implement full of confidence.  The massive bowl insulates a sweet-spot sized chamber, cylindrical in design, with a rounded bottom drilled just right for easy maintenance of almost any tobacco genre.  The radial grain from the contrast finish wraps up from the widest part of the bowl leaving the bottom of the stummel awash in densely packed birdseye.  Two acrylic inserts in the stem help balance the palm sized bowl and the taper from the shank through the button trick the eye into seeing more length than is actually there.  While the bite is comfortably thin, this hefty smoker keeps a marvelously smooth draw and is likely too heavy to make a clencher but a more than agreeable companion to keep the hand warm while in use.
