Marek Cikl Pipe Bent Sandblast Strawberry Sitter with Calabash Gourd Shank

A thick wall around the strawberry bowl and a pleasantly plump shank made of gourd give this sitting hanamade from McIKL Pipes an organic feel common to all the pipes from Marek Cikl's repertoire.  The shank is sandwiched on both ends by an ebonite spacer matching the soft green of the stem.  There is no cavity for a reverse calabash but the integral tenon of ebonite fits into a delrin lined mortise for a flush fit that will always be snug.  Tightly sandblasted with subtle red tones that really pop when in direct sunlight, this curvy and unique briar from the Czech Republic is also a sturdy sitter with a perfectly smooth draw and a conical chamber.
