Joseph Skoda Pipe Freehand Sitter with Plateau

American pipemaker, Joe Skoda has made a career at turning orthodox shapes upside down and inside out, though like this standing smooth freehand, still manages to capture something comfortable and familiar in each creation.  The wide and plateau rimmed smooth features a tapered base all the way through the stem to the button and a conical chamber that will be a joy to use with any genre of leaf.  The plateau portion has been finished black for a striking contrast with the smooth stummel and balances well against the extended mouthpiece for a sturdy sitter.
