Dr. Bob Pipe Partial Rusticated Hawkbill and Saucer with Brindle and Ebonite

A marvelously unique variation on the cup and saucer shape, this hawkbill from Dr. Bob is executed so well that we wonder why we don't see it more often.  Rusticated and dark around the bowl save the smooth finished and broad rim, and again underneath the bent shank, the smooth portions of the shank and saucer work to trick the eye into seeing two pieces joined together.  The sand brindle stem features a dark mustard insert of ebonite and the visible grain of this American handmade is consistent enough to leave a glorious patch of birdseye along the saucer's bottom.  Cylindrical at the top and coned at the bottomof the well drilled chamber, this one of a kind smoker is perfect for any ribbon and small torn leaf blend.
