Dr. Bob Pipe Hawkbill with Ivorite

Finished smooth and displaying a mesmerizing amount of straight grain that wraps all the way around the pipe, this hawkbill from Dr. Bob is already an impressive example of shaping, but made even more magnificent due to the orientation of this extraordinary specimen.  The tan finish of high contrast grain does have a touch of blush that works well with the ivorite insert in the ebonite stem.  Drilled all the way to the bottom of the conical chamber, this gorgeous American handmade is just narrow enough to hold a Virginia or Virginia based blend though any ribbon cut will be a joy to enjoy in this generationally grained beauty.
