Item # DH255704Sold Out
Details
Brilliantly shaped with a two sinewy curved panels along the bottom of the shank, this German collaborative handmade from Dirk Heinemann and Tobias Höse of Bonsai Pipes is also gloriously finished smooth in a gorgeous high contrast display of straight grain and birdseye. While the bowl features a classic double bead, the traditional ends there. Capped at the shank with a layered adornment of morta, ebonite, and boxwood, this diamond flared shank is asymmetrical, though only really noticeable when seen from the bottom. The sculpted saddle flares to balance the heavily muscled shank and note the side to side curve of the stem to balance the undercurve of the shank. Like all of Dirk's and Tobias' handmades, this smooth is exceptional in every detail and represents a generational example of some of the finest craftsmanship in pipemaking.
