Details

Half bent and wide at the top of the conical chamber, this lightweight clencher freehand estate pipe from South African carver, Jan Pietenpauw (peet-n-paw) carries a crispy and detailed sandblast finish that reveals both growth rings and straight grain.  Capped at the rim with the outer edge of the plateau burl, this flared shank smoker is well designed with a sand brindle ebonite ferrule that holds a matching military mounted stem.  Both graceful and functional for safely removing while still hot without damaging the fit, this handmade smoker has a touch of rim darkening just past the smooth bevel but is still in excellent condition.
