Details
Smooth finished featuring shape oriented contrast grain with a patch of birdseye running down the front of the tall bowl and easily one of the lightest pipes this close to six inches we've seen in a while, this Caltex Rower estate pipe is just the smoker needed when both hands are busy. Narrowing to the bottom of a conical chamber that works particularly well for ribbon, shag, and small sized leaf, this English and French inspired beauty has a solid thick wall and just enough shoulder in the button for a thin bite that can stay put between the teeth. There is some inner rim darkening around the back of the bevel but the draw is sublime and the drilling is spot on. A good companion for Virginia and all her preferred condimental friends, this elegant and lean shaped briar may not be from a popular brand but is certainly a diamond in the rough.
