Reid Robertson Pipe 065 Sandblast Straight Prince with Fordite

Sleek and lengthy, this straight and exceptionally tapered handmade prince from Reid Robertson, out of the Appalachians in North Carolina, has been dressed in a sandblast finish with a polished, smooth rim.  The stem is green - well, not just green but deep-forest-pine-needle green and is not acrylic or ebonite, but resin.  It won't oxidize and is much softer and more comfortable than acrylic.  For balance and spacing, Reid has added an insert of fordite giving the whole pipe a finished look of sophistication.  The chamber is wide enough to handle any complex or tongue friendly blend, but not so big as to ignore sweeter aromatics or even a straight Virginia.  Even at over six inches, this American prince is destined to be a favorite clencher.
