French 253 Square Shank Apple Estate Pipe

Made in France from Algerian briar, but as to a confirmation of actual factory that produced this square shank and smooth finished apple estate pipe, we can't rightly say for sure.  Likely at least 40 years old, this lightweight clencher does have a draft at the chamber floor and draws remarkably well.  The rim has patches of darkening and there are plenty of handling marks about the stummel in addition to some rounding of the shank's face, but this well loved sitter is still in good shape and makes a great companion for any favorite tobacco.
