Sasieni Four Dot Moorgate (Patent Era 1945-1950 Make) Pot Sitter Estate Pipe
Item # EE243053Sold Out
Details
Dating this older Sasieni Four Dot Moorgate estate pipe is based on the Patent stamp and the font used in "Sasieni." When Alfred took over the company in 1946 he started making changes that were firmly in place by 1950, including the repositioning of the dots on the stem. This pot sitter has the new "Sasieni" script introduced at the end of WWII, but the older style dots. The rounded rim does have some minor inner rim darkening toward the back of the bowl and the nomenclature is somewhat worn, though still clearly legible. The chamber is in excellent condition as well as the stem's flush fit. This collectible English briar has a very wide chamber and a smooth draw to keep any broad leaf blend going and going.
