Partner University Handcut Freehand with Plateaux Estate Pipe

Densely grained with some considerable contrast in its smooth finish, this Partner University estate pipe has some impressive grain, but the more we handle and gaze at the pipe, it's the stem that acts as a magnet for the eyes.  Remarkably well done, this fancy and plateaued piece of briar smoking from England is a little more stiff in the shaping than other freehands from Denmark, but the engineering is all about a large chamber with plenty of room for your favorite complex blends to build a good ember with.  In excellent condition, though there is some inner rim darkening toward the back of the bowl.
