KB&B Yello-Bole Imperial 3068C 3/4 Bent Billiard with Nickel Estate PipeItem # AE184162
Completely original, we know this very large and over bent briar estate pipe was definitely made between 1932 and 1976, but given the 4 digit shape code, some collectors will swear it was made prior to 1936 which is a reasonable estimation. Surviving almost a century in good working condition, there are some handling marks around the rim of this huge chambered and cross grained briar. These pieces were highly prized as the American competition to the system standard p-lip stemmed briars from Peterson. The reservoir in the shank for catching moisture during the smoke is very large making these titanic briars foolproof for a cool and dry smoke.
This Imperial estate pipe has been finished smooth and the briar is free of any fills or flaws. In addition to the rim, there are minor handling marks about the bowl.
