Details
A long round shank and a short saddle make this classic French lovat estate pipe as timeless as any found from the last century. The smooth finish is densely populated on the left side of the bowl though the cross-grain orientation couldn't provide the same display on the right which is perhaps why it never received a maker's mark in the stampings. Thick walls dress a conical chamber perfect for the consumption of flavorful virginias and aromatics and the lightweight carriage is well suited for clenching all day long. There is some inner rim darkening that couldn't be removed, but this French briar is in outstanding condition and seems to be free of any fills or flaws.
