Charatan Belvedere 481DC Cherrywood Estate Pipe with Replacement Stem

Collectors of Charatans will quickly identify this estate pipe's stem as a replacement, especially with the Double Comfort designation in the stampings.  During the "Lane Era" when this pipe was made, most were given the DC stepped saddle stem and this pipe was no different.  At some point in its history the stem was replaced and though the work was done well, this new stem has an unusual brass tenon.  There is also some minor rim darkening, though otherwise and aside from some very minor handling marks, this 481 is in outstanding condition with a very large and conical chamber to keep an ember going for long sessions.  Note this pipe does come with its original sleeve.
