Butz-Choquin Commandeur Extra 1301 Bent Billiard Estate Pipe
Item # MDE218130$75.00
Details
This thick walled and bent, tapered billiard estate pipe was made by Butz-Choquin in Saint Claude, France, birthplace of the briar pipe and given the stately grace of its lines and proportions is deservedly called Commandeur Extra. The smooth finish is a rich mahogany and there don't appear to be any fills or flaws on the surface, though there are some minor handling marks. The chamber is wide and with a slight conical shape to a rounded bottom is well drilled with a smooth drawing draft at the bottom of the deep bowl. In outstanding condition we suspect this French bent brunette will do wonderful things with English, Balkans, or a wide cut aromatic.
