Details
This "Long Flat" 303 Fossil English canadian estate pipe from Barling's production, way back when they were still owned by the original family, is another spectacular example of why we get all misty eyed over the long lost sandblasts from the previous century. Extremely detailed with just a touch of over polish given the many decades of use and care, this finish is easily recognized from across the room as older. It won't make the pipe smoke any better per se, but with this wide bowl and open draw, perfectly drilled to the very bottom of the cylindrical chamber, won't need any help getting all the finest flavors from any favorite flake or leaf. In excellent condition, though there is some minor inner rim darkening, a loss of sharpness at the stem's corners where it meets the shank, and some of the stampings are slightly worn.
