Details
We don't know the provenance of this large bent and saddle billiard estate pipe but it carries the pen name of Mark Twain and has clearly been well loved. During its restoration the chamber was discovered to be slightly charred in places so a sodium silicate coating has been added so that it may continue to be smoked with abandon without any risk of ever being burned out. There are a couple of major fills on the back of the bowl but the drilling and draw are spot on, easily passing a cleaner and smoothly open enough to support such a capacious chamber. In outstanding condition with an excellent finish full of tight birdseye, this palm friendly smoker is much too heavy to clench for any significant period of time despite its bent profile.
