A dark finish of burgundy and plum grace this almost black Loewe & Co. Liverpool estate pipe from the early 1960s. The original detail of the sandblast has been lost to the decades, a little bit at a time, over the course of many trips to the buffing wheel, but the tremendous growth rings are still awe inspiring in their orientation to this long shanked and shapely smoker. In excellent shape, especially considering the many years of smoking already under this smooth rimmed English pipe's belt, though the paint from the stem's logo is long gone.
