Details
Before Dunhill regularly made briars larger than their Group 5 designation of bowl size, this 1960 ODA bent bulldog was benchmade in their England factory. Given the smooth red polish of the famous Bruyere finish reserved for the best grained pieces, this gorgeous and massive chambered English bulldog is decorated with the traditional double bid around the widest part of the rhodesian bowl. Thick walled for plenty of insulation and thin at the bite for a comfortable clench, this smooth icon of English pipe making does have a few minor handling marks and a very modest touch of inner rim darkening, but still remains in outstanding condition with a spectacular draw and crisp stampings.
