Kaywoodie

Summarizing the history of a brand as venerable as Kaywoodie is no small feat.  Its origins can be traced back to the Kaufman Brothers and Bondy company, which opened its doors in 1851. The first reference to "Kaywoodie" wasn't until 1919, when the KBB company released a special pipe bearing the name. Kaywoodie has always been an American brand and a fixture of pipe smokers in the United States. It soon became one of the most successful and widely distributed pipes across the continent. KBB was purchased by S.M. Frank & Co. in 1955, and while locations and productions styles have changed over time, Kaywoodie pipes are still being manufactured in the United States, producing pipes that appeal to smokers of all varieties.
