Ian Nicol Pipe 1/4 Bent Sandblast Morta Billiard with Ironwood and Acrylic

Ian was interested in doing something a little more difficult, so Jesse challenged him to come up with an insert in an acrylic stem.  Sourcing all the materials himself, Ian came up with the dark morta and the bright pearlescent acrylic stem with a wide band of Ironwood to transition between the two.  Modern and striking, we think he did a pretty good job.  The ironwood has two major tones, one dark and one light, and set against the contrast of black and white sheens a kind of metal tone.  An excellent compact smoker, especially suitable for virginia/perique blends.
