A group 4 sized bowl and the impressive smooth finish of Dunhill's Root Briar make this 56 billiard estate pipe a prize from any era, though it was made in 1969. Classically shaped and tapered, this long stemmed English smoker is slightly over bent making it a comfortable clencher despite its size, capacity, and sturdy, thick walls. The tenon has been modified to accept a 6mm filter, though to fit inside the mortise a balsa filter will need to be cut in half. There is some inner rim darkening and a few minor handling marks about the bowl as well as some wear on the easily legible stampings, but this icon of smoking satisfaction is still in great shape.
