Jesek Pipes (Martin Paljesek) Carved Billiard with Areca Palm Nut Insert and Buffalo Horn

This rusticated round shanked billiard from Martin Paljesek of Jesek Pipes fame, looks as if the wood has been weathered and eventually cracked with extreme age.  Both subtle and delightfully tactile, this dark briar is adorned with a ring of buffalo horn and an incredibly detailed insert of areca palm nut, punctuated by a beautiful birdseye rim of rounded smooth polished briar in a chestnut finish.  The rounded sharp saddle makes for a stem of considerably thin comfort at the bite point, and like all of Martin's pipes, the draw is just right for a bowl geometry set to bring forth the natural sweetness of the great virginia leaves and flakes.
