Benjamin Westerheide Pipe 1/4 Bent Reverse Calabash Driftwood Egg with Teardrop Shank and Military Mount

It is unfortunate that our photographer (yeah, it's me) can't catch the impressive effect of this black driftwood finish.  Incredibly textured, the tactile sensation of feeling the grain is extraordinary.  For the camera, it is as if the light is swallowed by the pipe keeping the phenomenal detail hidden in the pictures.  As for shaping, Benjamin continues to use a minimalist approach to lines and form to expertly capture the essence of a compact package with a wide chamber.  Domed at the end of the reverse calabash shank, this military mount's teardrop seam disappears into the bowl just at the transition yet still punctuated by a crisp crown saddle stem with a lovely deep slot in the button for exceptional smoking.  Highly recommended for those who love the latakia and wish to clench while enjoying it.
